The objectives of SCAVMA shall be:
• To advance veterinary medicine;
• To prepare its members to meet the social, moral, and ethical obligations of the
profession;
• To represent the University of Wisconsin-Madison (“UW-Madison”) School of
Veterinary Medicine (“SVM”) and its students at national conventions;
• To make an affiliation with the American Veterinary Medical Association (“AVMA”)
available to its members;
• To enhance leadership characteristic in its members through organization as student
body; and
• To promote camaraderie among veterinary medical students
